ADDITIONAL RESOURCES ON
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
The Toolkit
to End Violence Against Women, created by the National Advisory
Council on Violence Against Women and the United States Department
of Justice’s Violence Against Women Office, provides concrete
anti-violence strategies for advocates, legal and medical professionals,
members of the clergy, the media, and educational institutions.
VAWNet,
the University of Minnesota’s Violence
Against Women Online Resources, and the Minnesota Center Against
Violence and Abuse’s (MINCAVA) Electronic
Clearinghouse are excellent gateways to articles, studies,
brochures, manuals, fact sheets, research, and information packets
on domestic violence.
Many U.S.-based battered women’s organizations, including
CASA,
Coos
County Women’s Crisis Service, the National
Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Family
Violence Prevention Fund, and the Women’s
Rural Advocacy Programs provide useful introductions to and
overviews of domestic violence issues.
