The Women in Leadership Development Program (WILD) offers University women students an opportunity to grow as leaders. A cohort of women students will meet twice a month to learn practical leadership skills that will improve their personal, academic, and professional accomplishments. Each WILD cohort will have the opportunity to put their leadership principles and interests into action by planning the Women’s Center’s fall week-long event, Discover Exceptional Women (DEW).
Meetings include a combination of personal growth workshops (e.g. individual strengths, team-building, diversity), guest speakers, reflection, and group discussion. Planning time is also built into the schedule; that includes activities such as picking DEW topics and speakers. Participants will cultivate leadership skills that future employers are looking for, meet other like-minded women students, put their personal touch on an exciting University-wide event, and have fun.
WILD begins in January and ends with a December celebration (summer participation is optional).
