Women’s Organization of Graduate and Professional Students (WOGAPS)

WOGAPS is a community of women graduate and professional students, and also serves as both an advisory group and editorial board for the updated Thriving Through the Experience (1997) handbook for graduate women. In addition to fostering community among women graduate and professional students, WOGAPS:

  • Encourages a sense of personal strength in women students
  • Fosters relationships that support, mentor, network, challenge, stimulate, and celebrate women
  • Strives for balance between immediate and future goals
  • Recognizes, honors, and learns from amazing women wherever they are encountered
  • Stimulates ways for women to express their gifts and talents
  • Promotes awareness and understanding of the issues faced by women graduate and professional students

For more information about WOGAPS or to receive a copy of Thriving Through the Experience, please contact the Women’s Center at 612-625-9837 or women@umn.edu.
