Outstanding Schools
Minnesota is a state that emphasizes education. We have the fourth highest graduation rate in the nation. Minnesota's public school open enrollment program allows elementary and secondary students to enroll in a public school district other than the district where the student lives. Minnesota students have greater access to computers than do students in 45 other states.
The state also ranks highly in other measures of educational success, such as percent of total population enrolled in college and percent of students taught by teachers with a major in the subject field. Minnesota's average ACT score of its college bound high school students ranked second in 2006.
