This year’s theme is exotic and spicy as we discover the beauty in edible flowers. Culinary chefs from around the world, have long since used flowers to enhance a dish, making it both pleasing to the palette and the eye. This culinary attraction isn't just for the professions! Households around the country are joining in on the fun as they learn how to add the decoration and spice of flowers to their food.
This year’s garden tour starts with a trip through our renowned botanical gardens, where we will explore the different flowers and herbs currently in season.
Next we will examine the main flowers being used in kitchens all across America.
Then on to our world famous kitchen where we will meet the head chef and have a lesson in working with editable flowers.
Don't worry, you won't leave this tour on an empty stomach! We will conclude the experience by tasting four different dishes especially designed to show you how simple and fun incorporating the flavor of flowers can be!
