STUDENT
SENATE CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE (SSCC) MINUTES
DECEMBER
6, 2007

PRESENT:
Ronald Miller (chair), Neal Brown, James Faghmous, Kris Schwebler, Alicia
Smith.
ABSENT:
Jeni Kiewatt.
1.
UPDATES
James Faghmous reported that he
is attending late-night safety meetings tomorrow and December 12 to discuss
campus concerns. Any student can forward issues to him so that options can be
considered. A member noted that the walkway behind Ferguson Hall is dark and
many students note that they will not walk in this area at night.
GAPSA is also holding a primary
workshop on January 29.
Neal Brown said that CSA
sponsored a forum yesterday on the campus smoking ban. 20 students attended. A
survey has also been sent with 290 responses received.
Alicia Smith said that MSA was
going to hold presidential primary parties, but these have been cancelled.
Kris Schwebler said that MSA is
also planning a student concern forum in March to give all students a chance to
dialogue with administrators.

STUDENT RELEASE QUESTIONS
Members voted to hold a closed
session to discuss the response from the Educational Policy Committee regarding
last week's Student Senate action, and any further response from SSCC.

With no further business, Ronald
Miller thanked all members for attending and adjourned the meeting.
