Reminder! Nominate Outstanding Teachers

The 2013 Horace T. Morse-University of Minnesota Alumni Undergraduate Education Award and the Award for Outstanding Contributions to Postbaccalaureate, Graduate and Professional Education. See the official announcement for more.
Pending final approval by the Board of Regents, both faculty and P&A teachers are now eligible for the awards. The deadline for submitting nomination dossiers is Jan. 17. NOTE:  While January 17 is the deadline for submitting nominations, all nominations must come through a college office, which will have earlier deadlines.

*    51% have obtained a masters-level degree

P&A Brown Bag Presentation (Rescheduled)

Leza Besemann, Technology Strategy Manager, will tell us about how OTC identifies, protects and licenses innovations developed at the University. In fiscal year 2011, the University's Office for Technology Commercialization (OTC) brought in over $10 million in revenue and launched 9 start-up companies. She will also present an introduction to intellectual property law including patents.

Organizational Effectiveness

Within the Office of Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness provides training, development, and consulting resources "that build organizational capacity, increase individual capabilities, and promote a culture of excellence through strong leadership".  A variety of programs and services are offered to build job skills and enhance professional development.
