Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will deliver the Commencement Address at the University of Minnesota Law School's 120th commencement ceremony on May 17th. The ceremony for the Class of 2008 will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Northrop Memorial Auditorium, 84 Church St., S.E. A 1986 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Pawlenty practiced law and was an Eagan City Council member before being elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1992. He served in the House until 2002, when he was elected governor. He was re-elected in 2006. The public is welcome and no tickets are necessary. Northrop Auditorium doors will open at 9:15 a.m. Elderly and people with disabilities should enter through the east doors. The ceremony will last approximately two hours and a reception will follow on Northrop Terrace Plaza. ---------- |
