In celebration of Black History Month, U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison will speak at the University of Minnesota Law School at 4 p.m. on Feb. 22 in room 40 of Mondale Hall, 229 19th Ave. S., Minneapolis. He will speak about his journey from civil rights attorney to Minnesota's first black U.S. representative and the U.S. House of Representatives' first Muslim. The event is co-sponsored by the U of M Muslim Law Students Association, MLK Raise the Bar and the Law School Democrats. Ellison graduated from the U of M Law School in 1990 and was elected in 2006 to the United States Congress. ---------- |
