Marketing Communications
What is the role of the University of Minnesota? How does the work of our students, staff and faculty make a difference in the world?
Marketing communications answers these questions and shares the University’s compelling stories of research, teaching and outreach to those within the University community and throughout the state, country and world. We develop strategies that will help others better understand the University’s goal to become among the top three research universities in the world and how this goal translates into a premier education, strong state economy and enhanced quality of life.
How do we do this?
We tell the world that the U of M is Driven to Discover. We communicate our brand essence in creative and engaging ways through TV and print advertisements, the Web site, campus communications and other publications.
We collaborate with campuses, colleges, and units to develop clear and compelling communications strategies and provide tools that help them integrate the U brand into their communications.
We take the pulse of our internal and external audiences with market research to make sure our messages are breaking through and resonating.
