It is our objective to advance the interests of the University, for all our campuses, Twin Cities, Crookston, Morris, Duluth and Rochester at the Capitol in Saint Paul, in Washington, D.C and among our community partners and neighbors.
What we do
• Promote the University’s state legislative request and monitor the political environment of the state.
• Coordinate the University’s national agenda by interacting with Congress, the executive branch, and national education policy groups.
• Strengthen the University's connections to local governments and Twin Cities campus neighbors; and engage neighbors in the planning process at the University.
• Elevate the level of support the University receives from the public, from supporters, alumni, faculty, staff and students alike.
It is the responsibility of this office to ensure that officials from Minnesota and around the nation utilize the considerable expertise available here at the University, are aware of what and who we are, guarantee the U has a voice in policy development related to higher education and research, and to promote more targeted opportunities to share our knowledge and research expertise with the government.
I hope you find our information and these links helpful and that you will come back often.
Sincerely,
Donna C. Peterson
