Each odd-numbered year University makes a request to the Legislature and the
Governor for the operating
budget of the U, often called the biennial budget, as it funds two consecutive
years.
In even-numbered years, the University proposes supplemental budget revisions to the biennial budget which are then acted upon by the Legislature and the Governor.
The last major budget bill was adopted in 2009, and another is expected in 2011.
