The University of Minnesota eCommunications system currently includes Lyris ListManager ('Lyris'), the University's mass e-mail distribution system. The eCommunications group is dedicated to the support and advancement of Lyris as an internal and external communication tool for University units. Lyris operates according to the eCommunications organizational model.
To begin using Lyris, talk to your college or unit's Lyris contact (often someone in a central communications or web group). If you're not sure who your contacts are, e-mail us. If your unit doesn't already use Lyris, learn how to get started.
Pages for the Mass E-mail User Group (MEUG) have been added, including meeting notes, copies of presentations, and the schedule of upcoming meetings. Seeing the MEUG page for more information.
A new LISTSERV list has been created for discussion related to mass e-mail as a whole (not just Lyris). Send an e-mail to listserv@lists.umn.edu with "subscribe ecomm-email-talk" as the body of the message to subscribe, or visit the LISTSERV Web site.
A serious bug affecting DMS users who perform split tests has been discovered. Read the e-mail update sent to DMS/GEL list users on Aug. 13, 2008.
Several items have been added to the documentation page. A new resources page, with links to various mass e-mail resources, has also been added.
