Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

The ElderLearning Institute (ELI), now Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), at the University of Minnesota is a volunteer run, non-credit education and service program for older adults seeking life-long learning. OLLI is a program of the College of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota. It is guided by a member-elected Board of Directors, and works through volunteer committees and the Executive Director.

Courses

OLLI offers small-group courses and discussions on topics approved by the OLLI Curriculum Committee. Course leaders are retired and current U of M and area college faculty and teachers, OLLI members and community activists. All are volunteers. Groups meet in two 8-week sessions in Fall and Spring, and a 6-week session in Winter. Courses usually meet once a week for 11⁄2 hours.

Membership

OLLI also offers educational travel, an informal summer program, special events and volunteer opportunities.
