Categories & Criteria
Categories and criteria for the Maroon & Gold Awards is updated each year
as a new awards committee is formed. Below are the guidelines
for the 2007 awards.
2007 Awards Categories & Criteria
Entries fall into four communications categories:
Once you decide which category best fits your entry, classify your project
by its purpose: instructional, promotional, periodical, or informational.
This allows our judges to compare your entry to others in the same classification.
Examples for each classification are provided to guide you.
Each entry will be judged on its overall success at meeting its stated purpose
and representing the University of Minnesota at its best, as demonstrated
by the components listed within the four main categories.
