Windows Desktop Client 10g Upgrade

Contents:

1. UMCal Windows Desktop Client Requirements

What versions of Windows will work?

The UMCal Windows Desktop client requires one of the following versions of Windows:

  • Windows 2000
  • Windows XP (Home or Professional)

Important: Administrative privileges are required to install Oracle Calendar desktop client in Windows 2000 and XP.

Important: Upgrading from a previous release of the Oracle Calendar desktop client must be done using the original profile, meaning the user who originally installed the application. To upgrade your installation correctly, you should upgrade using the account that was used to install the previous version of the software (consult your local tech staff if this installation was performed for you). Otherwise, you need to uninstall the Oracle Calendar desktop client using the original account, before reinstalling.

Other general requirements:

  • 50 MB disk space
  • 128 MB RAM minimum (256 MB recommended)

  2. If an offline agenda from the previous version is found, you will be prompted to update it for the new client. Click OK.
