NOTE: If you have data on your mobile device you may wish to set the date range
in the calendar section to only sync one day. This would prevent undesired data
from your hand held from being copied to your calendar other than possibly one
day. Change this back to a normal range after your first sucessful sync.

-
To prevent sychronization problems due to a known bug, navigate to
C:\Program Files\Oracle\Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC\,
locate the timezone.ini file, and copy it to
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Oracle\Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC.

- Remove your handheld from its cradle and then return it to the cradle.
- At the first "New Partnership" screen, make sure Starndard Partnership is selected and click Next.

- Make sure the Synchronize with this desktop computer option is is selected and click Next.

- Leave the Yes, I want to synchronize with only this computer option selected and click Next. Note: if you do synchronize with more than one computer, additional steps not covered in this guide will be required.

- For each of the three categories, calendar, contacts, and tasks, select the appropriate program to use when syncing your Pocket PC device. If you are not using other software to synchronize information with your handheld, select Oracle Calendar for each category. Click Next.

- As necessary, check and uncheck areas to synchronize with your Pocket PC device. Be sure the Calendar item is checked. Click Next.

- Click Finish to complete the setup.

- Synchronization should begin immediately. If not, remove the handheld from its cradle and then return it to the cradle. The initial, full synchronization has been known to take several minutes on the campus network, even for relatively small calendars. If you are attempting to synchronize your handheld at home, using either broadband or dial-up, it may take significantly longer.
