Want access to UMCal?
Some departments are "calendar enabled," others are not. If you are
a member of a department listed in the table below, you already have access
to UMCal. If your department is not listed, you must fill out an access request
form; see the Sign-up Forms section below.
Am I Eligible for Access?
If you are a current student, staff, or faculty member at any campus, you
may use UMCal. Sponsored ('friend') accounts also have access to UMCal. Alumni, departmental, and guest accounts are not
eligible for UMCal access.
Setting up UMCal
Before you can use UMCal, you need to initiate your calendar account by going
to https://www.umn.edu/myaccount and
following these steps.
- To access your personalized list of options at http://www.umn.edu/myaccount,
you must type in your Internet ID (sometimes called X.500 ID) and your Internet
password.
- Once you have validated your access, you will get a list of options. From
the "Other Accounts" section, select the link for "Calendar
Account Options."
- Click on the box to initialize your UMCal account, and click Submit.
If the "Calendar Account Options" page is not presented to you, you must complete the
individual sign-up form.
You are now almost ready to use UMCal.
- To download the software clients, go to the Get UMCal section.
- To access Installation and User guides, go to the UMCal Support section.
UMCal Sign-up Forms
If your department has not been calendar enabled, before you can access UMCal we must receive one of the forms below. The forms include drop down lists
with the department names for the Twin Cities, Duluth (UMD), Morris (UMM), and Crookston (UMC) campuses. If you cannot find a match for your department, an
"Other" section is provided at the end of the lists. Once you submit the form, we will verify that "Other" was the correct choice.
