Hardware upgrades

UCS sells and installs common computer upgrades and carries the most common computer upgrades in stock. UCS carries most common hard drives, memory, graphics/video cards, modems, ethernet cards, etc.

Memory options:

The installation charge is $25 per memory stick, plus the cost of the memory. UCS carries the most common memory in stock. If not in stock, UCS can order one for you.

Graphics/video cards and optical drive options:

The installation charge is $35, plus the cost of the hardware. UCS has the most common graphics/video cards and optical drives in stock. If not in stock, UCS can order one for you.

The installation charge is $35, plus the cost of the hardware (NOTE: This flat fee excludes the Apple iBooks, which require approximately 1 hour of labor. The hourly rate will apply for iBook hard drive installations). Hard drive installation includes installing, initializing and testing the hard drive, and does not include reinstalling your operating system or saving/transferring your data. UCS has the most common desktop and laptop hard drives in stock. If not in stock, UCS can order one for you.

• Additional UCS services to consider when UCS installs your hard drive:

• If possible, would you like UCS to back-up your data from your old hard drive, save it on our server, and transfer your data to the new hard drive? This service is available for an hourly charge.

• Would you like UCS to reinstall your operating system on your new hard drive? Provide your operating system CD and Product Key #. Reinstalling the operating system is available for a flat fee.

• Would you like UCS to reinstall software on your new hard drive? Provide UCS with your software CDs and registration information (e.g. Microsoft Office), and UCS will install software for you.
