Cougar Cash allows you to store up to $50 cash value on the U Card's bottom magnetic stripe. Once value has been added, Cougar Cash can be used to pay for copies and printing on campus.
How do you add cash value to your U Card Cougar Cash stripe?
- Add up to $50 cash at a campus Cash-to-Card machine.
- hold your U Card FACE UP and insert it PHOTO FIRST into the card reader
- insert the EXACT amount of cash you would like to put on your card face up into the bill acceptor (Cash-to-Card machines do not give change!)
- watch the red display on the card reader to verify your new balance
- wait for your card to eject automatically
If you are a visitor on the University of Minnesota campus, or you don't have your U Card with you, you can purchase and add value to a Cougar Cash visitor card from any CASH TO CARD machine. The cost of the card is $1.
Remember, value added to the U Card's Cougar Cash stripe is not cash refundable, even if your U Card is lost or stolen. |
