Campus Cash allows you to store up to $50 cash value on the U Card's bottom magnetic stripe. Once value has been added, Campus Cash can be used to pay for parking, printing and copies. Campus Cash is available to all U Card holders and does not require U Card checking (Campus Cash is separate from the U Card checking account).

How do you add cash value to your U Card Campus Cash stripe?
- Add up to $50 cash at a campus Cash-to-Card machine.
- hold your U Card FACE UP and insert it PHOTO FIRST into the card reader
- insert the EXACT amount of cash you would like to put on your card face up into the bill acceptor (Cash-to-Card machines do not give change!)
- watch the red display on the card reader to verify your new balance
- wait for your card to eject automatically
CASH-TO-CARD machine locations
There are four Cash-to-Card machine locations: the Library main enterance, student computer lab (Library 119), Swenson Science Building (next to room 105), and Kirby Student Center (next to the Kirby information desk). Remember, once money is added to your Campus Cash stripe, the balance cannot be refunded.
If you are a visitor on the University of Minnesota campus, or you don't have your U Card with you, you can purchase and add value to a Campus Cash visitor card from any CASH TO CARD machine. The cost of the card is $1.
Remember, value added to the U Card's Campus Cash stripe is not cash refundable, even if your U Card is lost or stolen. Campus Cash does not transfer between coordinate University of Minnesota campuses. |
