Welcome to one of the most vibrant urban campuses in the country! Spanning the Mississippi River, filled with trees and green spaces, and just a short bike or bus ride from the all the activities and architecture a big city has to offer, the University of Minnesota is a community dedicated to discovery and the learning experience.
The award-winning University Parent program supplies guidance and information to parents throughout their child’s time at the University via a quarterly newsletter and a dynamic Web site. Visitors of all ages will find arts, sports, and intellectual offerings for almost any day of the year, including the classic nature dioramas at the Bell Natural History Museum, public stargazing through the Physics Building’s telescope, and a series of summer camps for young people. And don’t forget to visit the neighborhoods around the Twin Cities campus in St. Paul and Minneapolis to get a feel for the diverse styles and cultures that enrich our University.
We hope you enjoy your visit!
