The directions below to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus, reflect the I-35W bridge closure.

Driving to the east bank of the University's Minneapolis campus

Going east on I-394:

Follow I-94 east to I-35W north. Follow I-35W north to the U of M east bank exit, 17C. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge. or Follow I-94 east to the Huron Boulevard exit. Turn left onto Washington or follow Huron Boulevard as it changes to 4th Street and take a left onto 15th Avenue.

Going east on I-94:

Follow I-94 east to I-35W north. Follow I-35W north to the U of M east bank exit, 17C. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge. or Follow I-94 east to the Huron Boulevard exit. Turn left onto Washington or follow Huron Boulevard as it changes to 4th Street and take a left onto 15th Avenue.

Going north on I-35W:

Follow I-35W north to the U of M east bank exit, 17C. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge.

Going south on I-35W:

Follow I-35W south to the University Avenue/4th Street exit, 18. Turn left at the second set of lights, University Avenue SE. You'll be heading east toward the heart of the east bank.

Going west on Highway 36:

Take I-35W south to the University Avenue/4th Street exit, 18.  Turn left at the second set of lights, University Avenue SE. You'll be heading east toward the heart of the east bank.

Going west on I-94:

Take the Huron Boulevard exit and take a left onto Washington Avenue. or Stay on Huron Boulevard until it changes into 4th Street. Follow 4th Street to 15th Avenue. Take a left onto 15th.

Driving to the west bank of the University's Minneapolis campus

Going east on I-394:

Follow I-94 east to I-35W north to the U of M west bank exit, 17C. Take a right onto Washington Avenue and curve right onto Cedar. Turn left on 3rd Street S.

Going east on I-94:

Follow I-94 east to I-35W north to the U of M west bank exit, 17C. Take a right onto Washington Avenue and curve right onto right onto Cedar. Turn left on 3rd Street S.

Going north on I-35W:

Follow I-35W north to the U of M west bank exit, 17C. Take a right onto Washington Avenue and curve right onto Cedar. Turn left on 3rd Street S.

Going south on I-35W:

Follow I-35W south to the University Avenue/4th Street exit.  Turn right at the first set of lights, 4th St. You will be heading north. Take a left on Central Ave. and cross the Mississippi River. Take another left onto Washington Ave. Follow until it curves right onto Cedar. Turn left on 3rd Street S.

Going west on Highway 36:

Follow I-35W south to the University Avenue/4th Street exit.  Turn right at the first set of lights, 4th St. You will be heading north. Take a left on Central Ave. and cross the Mississippi River. Take another left onto Washington Ave. Follow until it curves right onto Cedar. Turn left on 3rd Street S.

Going west on I-94:

Take the Riverside Avenue exit and turn right at the stoplight. Follow Riverside to the West Bank.
