Technology Resources
The University of Minnesota provides a multitude of technological
resources and services to advance its threefold mission of teaching,
research, and public engagement. To encourage effective and innovative
use of these resources and to aid in scholarship, research, and communications
efforts, the University also provides in-depth training, technical
support, and overall technological guidance and strategic direction.

Computer and Technology Resources |
- Office
of Information Technology (OIT) –
Centralized computer, networking, and technology resources.
- Academic & Distributed Computing Services (ADCS) – E-mail accounts, password changes, Internet toolkit, software, laptop rentals, computer short courses.
- Computer Accommodations Program (CAP) – Assists University students, staff, and faculty who have disabilities in accessing computers and information through the use of adaptive technology.
- Network and Telecommunications Services (NTS) – Telephone, voice mail, modem, and remote access services.
- TechMart – Purchase computer products online and save with special educational discounts for U of M students, staff, and faculty.
- University Computer Services (UCS) –
Short and long-term computer support, computer recycling, software installation and configuration.
- University Technology Training Center Computer Training Courses – Short courses available in Web development, basic computer skills, spreadsheets, databases, and more.
