Academic Task Force Recommendations for
Baccalaureate Writing Initiative

- By establishing an institutional Center for Writing that crosses collegiate lines the University can bring top faculty and other resources together to enhance students’ writing abilities.
- The ability of global technologies to make it possible and necessary to share information broadly and frequently does not diminish the need for good writing skills. A research university has an obligation to provide its graduates with the communication skills necessary for advanced education, work and life.
