Football and Events Information
Types of Events
The stadium will be used for many purposes. In addition to football, it
will be a new center for campus life, providing a place for students to gather
with family, friends and faculty for including all-University events such
as convocation or graduation. It will be a place for recreational and intramural
sports, concerts and special campus events.
Ticket Information
The University's athletics department is in the process of investigating
a priority point system to be used for ticket allocation when we move to the
new stadium. The priority point system will include season ticket purchase
history, among other criteria. Typically athletics departments also consider
criteria such as giving history, alumni association membership, and ticket
purchases for other sports. More information will be provided once the ticket
allocation system is established.
You can guarantee a seat in TCF Bank Stadium by purchasing season tickets today.
For information on football tickets for the 2006 season, please call the athletics
ticket office at 1-800-U-Gopher or 612-624-8080 or order online.
Parking and Transportation
Existing University and State Fairgrounds parking is sufficient to meet projected
game-day requirements of about 17,000 spaces. The 2,700 parking spaces currently
on the stadium site will be replaced on or near the site.
A free shuttle using the University's dedicated transitway will transport
fans to and from the stadium and the State Fairgrounds and the West Bank on
game days.
Mass transit will also provide fans with accessible transportation to and
from the stadium.
