The 50,000-seat open-air stadium will be built for $288.5 million, including site preparation and infrastructure improvements.
TCF Bank Stadium will generate new sources of revenue for the University and athletics through increased ticket sales, sponsorship agreements, advertising, suite rental, parking, and concessions.
Sources of funds
The University will fund 52 percent of the cost of the stadium with non-state dollars from a variety of sources including:
- Private funds
- Parking revenues
- Student fees
- Athletic department funds
The state of Minnesota will fund the remaining 48 percent of the cost or $137.2 million. |
