Environmental Response Action Process
As part of the overall stadium development, the University of Minnesota will likely need to clean up existing soil and groundwater contaminants. The University has initiated additional environmental investigation of the proposed site for the TCF Bank Stadium™. Based upon the findings of the investigation, the University will identify and analyze potential cleanup alternatives for contaminants found at the site and will recommend a cleanup approach to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The MPCA will serve as the lead regulatory agency for the environmental response at the site.
As part of the environmental response action process, the University has developed a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) and Fact Sheet to encourage public participation in the environmental cleanup process.
