Configuring Windows e-mail clients for SSL

Below is a table which lists email clients, whether each supports SSL, and for those that do, configuration instructions.

UM-Morris users are required to do the following:

Within the configuration instructions below, wherever you see smtp.umn.edu, please use smtp.morris.umn.edu instead. The smtp.morris.umn.edu outgoing mail (SMTP) server is specific to Morris users and is recommended by UMM Computing Services.

Please note: Outlook and Outlook Express on Windows suffer from a number of known bugs and conflicts. Configuration instructions for those clients include information about working around these issues.
