Oracle Connector for Outlook
- Go to the Start menu and click on Control Panel. If you are on Windows 2000 or earlier, you will need to go to Start, Settings, and click on Control Panel.
- Inside the Control Panel, you will see the Mail icon. If you are using Windows XP, and do not see the Mail icon, look to the left of the Control Panel window. You will see a link that says Switch to Classic View. Click this link. This will show the Mail icon.

- When you see the Mail icon, double-click it. This will open the Mail Setup - Oracle Connector for Outlook dialog box.

- In the Mail Setup, click the Email Accounts... button. This will open the Email Accounts dialog box.
- Verify that View or change existing e-mail accounts is selected. Then click Next.

- One the next screen, verify that Oracle Connector for Outlook is selected, and click Change.... This will open the Oracle Connector for Outlook dialog box.
- Click the IMAP4 tab. On the IMAP4 screen, click the Advanced... button.

- In the IMAP4 Advanced settings, check the box next to The server requires a secure connection (SSL). Verify the Server Port is 993, and click OK.

- Click the SMTP tab.
- Verify that the Server Name is smtp.umn.edu
- Verify that there is a check next to The server requires authentication.
- Click Advanced....

- In the SMTP Advanced settings, check the box next to The server requires a secure connection (SSL). Verify that the Server Port is 465, and click OK.

- Click OK on the Oracle Connector for Outlook screen.
- Click Finish on the E-mail Accounts screen.
- Click Close on the Mail Setup screen.
