Configure SSL in Eudora

1. While in Eudora, in the menu bar, point to Tools and then click Options...
2. In the left-hand category list, click the Sending Mail icon.
3. On the right-hand side, verify the SMTP server: is smtp.umn.edu
4. Under Secure Sockets when Sending, click the drop-down menu, and click Required, STARTTLS.
5. Check the box next to Use submission port (587).

   

6. In the left-hand category list, click Advanced Network. In the field for Network Buffer Size, enter 8192.

   

7. In the left-hand category list, click Incoming Mail. Notice the Server configuration:

• If your server configuration is POP, click here.
• If your server configuration is IMAP, click here.
