Dr. Maureen Reed earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine. She serves as a diplomate in internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Reed is currently on leave from her position as medical director for Health Partners health plan. In that role, she provided health plan leadership for medical policy, care management, quality improvement, and physician relationships for medical groups affiliated with Health Partners. She is a national speaker on health care quality, health care improvement and patient safety.
In addition, Dr. Reed also practiced internal medicine at Fremont Community clinic on a part-time basis. In 1997, Dr. Reed was elected as a regent of the University of Minnesota and served as chair from 2001 - 2003. |
