Maureen Cisneros

Maureen Cisneros, who completed the Masters Program in Advocacy and Political Leadership at the University of Minnesota Duluth in May 2007, received her bachelor's deegree cum laude in
writing-intensive English and Spanish at Marquette University in 1999. Previously, Cisneros did graduate work in Latin American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked at the
University of Minnesota as an Admission Counselor and as an advisor in the TRiO Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. She currently works at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
Cisneros has extensive experience serving on committees related to education, including the Growth and Justice Smart Investments in Minnesota's Students Steering Committee, the Citizens League
Immigration and Higher Education Study Committee, the University of Minnesota Senate Committee on Educational Policy, and the Access to Higher Education Coalition of Minnesota.
