Public Forum on the University Budget

The Board of Regents will be holding a public forum on the University Budget on June 10, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. The forum is open to individuals who wish to address the Board regarding the fiscal year 2012 budget for the University of Minnesota.

The Board of Regents is interested in understanding the viewpoints and concerns of University constituents regarding a budget for fiscal year 2012. The Board will review the administration's budget on June 10, 2011 and take action on June 20, 2011.

The forum will take place in the Boardroom on the Sixth Floor of McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak Street SE, Minneapolis, MN. Individuals wishing to speak should call the Board Office at 612-625-6300 or send an email to uregents@umn.edu (Subject Line: Public Forum) by 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 with the following information: name, email, phone number, the group they represent (if any), their relationship to the University, and a general presentation topic. Speakers will be notified in advance about their order on the agenda.

If the number of speakers exceeds the time available, the Board of Regents will determine a list of speakers who best represent views on a variety of issues.

Speakers wishing to provide the Board with written information are asked to submit the materials by Thursday, June 9, 2011 to the Board Office for duplication.

The forum will be video-conferenced on the coordinate campuses and speakers from those campuses are welcomed.
