Weather Factors

Nothing is more unpredictable than the weather. Even meteorologists have difficulty broadcasting the next forecast. The average person often reacts differently to extreme weather conditions - some people react with fear; others show anger towards other individual's caution; and still others react with complete nonchalance.

The University of Minnesota cares about your safety and well-being. This section offers tips and advice for dealing with difficult weather situations.

This section also informs students, staff, and faculty about essential information, including snow plow procedures for the winter and how they affect parking on campus. It also details occasional repairs and maintenance work in the spring and summer that require vehicles to park in alternative facilities.

Parking and Transportation Services maintenance department is located in Room 107 of the Fourth Street Ramp, 1625 Fourth Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455.

The maintenance department may be reached by e-mail at kistl003@tc.umn.edu or by calling 612-626-8000.
