Getting to the U
from 35W
East Bank
From the south: As you near downtown Minneapolis, continue
on 35W as it narrows to two lanes. The lanes will lead you
to the U of M/3rd Street exit sign. Follow the far right lane
for the East Bank exit and merge onto Washington Avenue. Cross
the bridge over the Mississippi River to East Bank.
From the north: Exit at University Avenue/4th
Street. Turn left at the second set of lights onto University
Avenue SE and head east a few blocks to campus.
West Bank
From the south: As you near downtown Minneapolis, continue
on 35W as it narrows to two lanes. The lanes will lead you
to the U of M/3rd Street exit sign. Follow the West Bank sign
to Washington Avenue. Turn right. Washington Avenue curves
to the right and becomes Cedar Avenue. Campus is to your left.
From the north: Exit at University Avenue/4th
Street. Turn left at the second set of lights (University
Avenue). Cross the bridge and turn right on 10th Avenue SE.
On the south side of the bridge, the road becomes 19th Avenue
SE. West Bank is on your left.
St. Paul Campus
From the north:Exit at Cleveland Avenue. Head south on Cleveland
to Larpenteur Avenue. Campus is straight ahead.
From the south: Follow 35W to I-94.
Continue on I-94 to Highway 280. Go north and exit on Larpenteur
Avenue. Turn right on Larpenteur and right on Cleveland Avenue.
Campus is on your left.
Getting to the U
from I-94
East Bank
From the east or west: Exit at Huron Boulevard. Follow Huron
Boulevard north to Washington Avenue and turn left for the
southern end of campus. For the north side, continue on Huron
Boulevard to University Avenue and take a left. University
curves around the stadium into 4th Street. Campus is on both
sides.
West Bank
From the east: Exit at Riverside Avenue. Turn right and follow
Riverside Avenue for a few blocks. Campus is on your right.
From the west: Exit at Riverside Avenue.
Turn left and follow Riverside Avenue for a few blocks. Campus
will be on your right.
St. Paul Campus
From the east or west: Follow I-94 to Highway 280. Go north
and exit on Larpenteur Avenue. Turn right on Larpenteur and
right on Cleveland Avenue. Campus is on your left.
