Frequently Asked Questions
 

Can I lock in a rate?
No. Contract rates go up annually on October 1. When you get a contract, you will pay the current rate. Your waiting list entry does not lock you in at this year's rate.

Can I be on the waiting list for multiple facilities?
You can be on the waiting list for up to three facilities at a time.

Can I transfer waiting time?
No. Time spent on one waiting list will not transfer to another.

Can I get on the list if I only work part time?
Yes, if you work 75 percent time or more. No, if you work less than 75 percent time.

Can I be on a waiting list if I already have a parking contract?
Yes. You can be on the waiting list for up to three facilities, regardless of your contract status.

Can Fairview employees apply for U of M waiting lists?
No. Fairview employees must apply for parking through Fairview-University Parking at 612-273-7275.

What if I have a disability permit?
If you currently hold a disability permit, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at 612-626-7275. We will accommodate you immediately.

What do I do if I need a disability permit?
Disability permits are awarded by the State of Minnesota. To apply for a permit, contact your doctor's office, where you can get a Minnesota disability permit application form.
