I am a staff/faculty member, but I will be taking a class? Can I apply for the student parking lottery?

 

If you are employed at least 75 percent time, you are not eligible to enter the student lottery. Parking contracts are available for staff and faculty.

How do I cancel my contract?

Most parking contracts can be cancelled at any time. Contracts are considered cancelled when:

  1. The keycard/hangtag is received in our office. OR
  2. A staff, faculty, vendor keycard or official vehicle keycard holder notifies us via e-mail.
Refunds on accounts with a credit balance will not be processed until the hangtag or keycard is received in our office. Payroll deducted contracts will be refunded via the university payroll system.

Ways to Cancel
  Students
  • For immediate processing, walk into the PTS main office and turn in your hangtag/keycard.
  • Mail your hangtag/keycard to the PTS main office. (The contract cancellation date will be the postmark date.)
  Staff and Faculty
  • Use the cancellation request form. Then:
    • Drop off your hangtag/keycard with any parking attendant.
    • Send us your hangtag/keycard using campus mail.
    • Mail your hangtag or keycard to the PTS main office. (Contact customer service for a postage-paid return envelope.)
  • Send an e-mail.
    • Please include your name, contract number, cancellation date and home address in your cancellation notice.
  • Walk-in cancellations can be immediately processed by turning in your hangtag or keycard.
Vendor and Official Vehicle Contract Holders
  • For immediate processing, walk into the PTS main office and turn in your hangtag/keycard.
  • Mail your hangtag/keycard to the PTS main office.
  • Send an e-mail (keycard contract holders only).
    • Please include your name, contract number, cancellation date and address in your cancellation notice.

What do I do if I forget my keycard?

Follow these steps:

  1. Pull a ticket to enter the facility and call PTS customer service at 612-626-7275 prior to exiting (as soon as possible is best) to inform the customer service representative. If your facility does not have a ticket dispenser, call PTS customer service and a representative will direct you to an alternate facility.
  2. Customer service will verify your contract and give you a control number to write on the back of your ticket. Upon exiting the facility, hand the ticket to the parking attendant.
