FAQ Department Answers

How do I pay for parking for department guests?

We offer two options; reservations or parking ticket validation.

Reservations – Reserve a parking spot for your guest in advance.
What You Do
  • Make a reservation before 4:30 pm, ONE business day in advance.
  • Select the parking facility. (Reservations are available in most public facilities.)
  • Specify the date, time and number of guests.
  • Fees will be charged to your department EFS account.
What They Do
  • Your guest will pull a ticket and enter the facility. (Your guest will have a parking space even if the facility is marked as “Full”.)
  • Upon exiting, they hand the ticket to the parking attendant and let them know they have a reservation. Your guest will be asked for their name and the name of the function or event

Validate Individual Parking (VIP)
– Charge guest parking to your department by using a validation stamp. How It Works
  • Each stamp contains a coded number identifying your department and your EFS number.
  • Your guest will pull a ticket and enter the facility.
  • Imprint the guest’s dispensed ticket with your VIP stamp.
  • Instruct your guest to hand it to the attendant upon exiting.
  • Validation stamps work only in pay-at-exit facilities.
  • The fees are charged to your department through EFS.
