Disability Busing

To make sure that campus is accessible to all people, Parking and Transportation Services offers various programs to individuals with disabilities.

Busing
All campus shuttle and Metro Transit buses serving campus are equipped with wheelchair lifts. If you need extra help boarding a bus (even if you're not in a wheelchair), feel free to ask the driver to use the lift. Please be sure to find a space on the sidewalk that is clear of snow and other barriers so the lift can do its work freely.

Paratransit Service
University Paratransit is a specialized curb-to-curb, on-campus transportation service provided free of charge to persons with either temporary or permanent physical disabilities. This service operates 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the year, except during University holidays. Call 612-282-6619 to schedule a ride. Reservations are accepted up to two days in advance.

Metro Mobility
Door-through-door service is available by reservation for people with disabilities who cannot use Metro Transit’s regular bus service. Deeply discounted Metro Mobility fare tickets are available to University students, staff, and faculty. To purchase discounted fare tickets, simply stop by Parking and Transportation Services between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information on the service, please call Metro Mobility's customer service line at 651-602-1111 or click on http://www.metrocouncil.org/.
