FAQ Shuttle Answers





Does the U have a shuttle service? When does it run?

Yes. There are 3 types of service.

  • Campus Connector – links West Bank, East Bank and St. Paul. Shuttles run continuously. Service will vary depending on the time of year. Service Calendar
    • Express Connector – same service with fewer stops.
  • Campus Circulators - mini-buses that cover a specific area.

East Bank Circulator (Route 123)

Fall, Spring & Summer Semesters: Monday-Friday

No service during weekends, breaks, intersession and holidays.

7:00 am - 4:45 pm

every 15 minutes

St. Paul Circulator (Route 124)

Fall, Spring & Summer Semesters: Monday-Friday
No service during weekends, breaks, intersession and holidays.
7:00 am - 4:45 pm
every 15 minutes

Washington Avenue Bridge Circulator (Route 122)

Fall & Spring Semesters: Monday-Friday
No service during weekends, breaks, intersession and holidays.
7:30 - 10:00 am and 3:00 - 9:45 pm
every 15 minutes
10 am - 3 pm
every 7 minutes
Finals  
7:30 am - 4:45 pm
every 15 minutes
  • Paratransit Service - A specialized curb-to-curb, on-campus transport service provided free of charge to persons with either temporary or permanent physical disabilities. Operates year round (except during official university holidays), Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Call 612-282-6619. An advance reservation of 2 days is preferred and rides may be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance. Rides are scheduled to allow sufficient time for the shuttle to reach the destination. The first daily scheduled ride is 7:30 am and the last is at 5:45 pm.

How much does it cost to ride the campus shuttles?

How can I tell which bus is a campus shuttle?

 

They are maroon and white, and clearly labeled with the service-type name across the upper front of the bus, e.g. Campus Connector.

What is the Campus Connector?

 

It’s a FREE shuttle that connects West Bank, East Bank and St. Paul campuses.

What is the Express Connector?

 

It runs along the same route as the Campus Connector only makes fewer stops. The stops are marked with a circle on the shuttle map. They are:

  • Blegen Hall
  • Weaver-Densford Hall/Transportation and Safety Building
  • Oak & 6th Street
  • TCF Stadium & 23rd Avenue SE/Thompson Center & 23rd Avenue SE
  • Transitway at Commonwealth Avenue
  • St. Paul Student Center

How can I tell which bus is an Express one?

 

They have “Express” written across their front marquee or an “E” at the end of the route number. Many have a sign adjacent to the front boarding door.

What is the difference between Campus Connectors and Campus Circulators?

 

They have different routes. Connectors link all 3 campuses with a line route going back and forth. Circulators cover a specific area in a circular route.

Are there bike racks on the campus shuttles?

 

All full-sized campus buses have bike racks. Mini-buses and vans do not.
