President's End-of-Year Message to Students
Email to Morris students
May 2, 2012
As the semester comes to a close and classes come to an end, I wish you good luck and good health in these sometimes stressful, always challenging, but eventually invigorating days of important term papers and final exams.
I've had a wonderful first year as president of this great University. Much of it has to do with you, our students, who keep shining through with countless national honors, remarkable amounts of public service, admirable good cheer, and constant hard work. You inspire me every day.
To those of you who will be graduating next week, congratulations. I look forward to seeing you at your commencement. I urge you to be proud and active alumni, and to look for ways to stay connected to Morris. To those of you who will be returning to campus, have a safe and productive summer break.
My best wishes for your great successes in the days ahead.
