The University of Minnesota will celebrate the inauguration of Eric W. Kaler from Monday, September 19 through Saturday, September 24, with the formal ceremony to be held Thursday, September 22 in Ted Mann Concert Hall. The week consists of a series of private activities on and off campus, plus the four public events listed below.
- Inauguration ceremony. 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, Ted Mann Concert Hall. Tickets are required. If you have no ticket, you may watch the ceremony live at one of several campus locations or online; for details, visit the Inauguration page.
- Reception. 2-4 p.m. Thursday, September 22, Coffman Union (various locations).
- Portrait unveiling. Noon Friday, September 23, Coffman Union Front Plaza.
- Football game vs. North Dakota State (tickets required). 6 p.m. Saturday, September 24, TCF Bank Stadium.
Follow the Events
Sixteen students were selected as "social media ambassadors" for inauguration week. They will accompany President Kaler on his whirlwind tours and tweet their experiences at @PrezKaler. A link will appear on the University's home page.
