The Foyer

The foyer is decorated with document wallpaper that is a faithful reproduction of wallpaper from the Gallier House in New Orleans, Louisiana during the 1850’s. The ground color of this paper is identical to the original wall color found in Eastcliff's northwest bedroom. The foliage motif is similar to the design in the iron stair rail ornamentation. Its diamond patterning is also appropriate to the geometry of the Art Deco era, during which the house was built.
