Reclaiming the Arts: Strategies for Commitment

This symposium will create a space for visionary and searching conversations about the place and function of the arts and arts education in contemporary society. Arts professionals will explore the potential of the arts for rigorous, emotionally engaged critical thinking and explore interdisciplinarity as a means to situate art within the praxis of everyday life, through strategies for commitment that bring to the fore art's role in education, politics, and public life.
