Safety is Easy. The Pavement is Hard.

This is something that every U of M student, staff and community member should know. Unfortunately, sometimes we need to be reminded of simple, easy safety measures that will help keep ourselves, and the people around us, safe.

This campaign was developed to remind our community of simple safety measures that could potentially save someone's life. Whether you are a pedestrian, bicyclist or motorist, there are steps that all of us can take to ensure safety for everyone.

Pedestrians

  • Look left, look right
  • Wait for "Walk"
  • Earbuds in? Don’t tune out.

Bicyclists

  • Watch for turning cars
  • Stay off sidewalks
  • Don’t run reds
  • Learn the rules of the road

Motorists

  • Watch for peds & bikers
  • Save lives, not seconds
  • Stay alert
  • Don’t text & drive
