Emergency Management
The Department of Emergency Management develops and maintains the Twin Cities campus Emergency Operations Plan and the Emergency Procedures Manual.
The Emergency Operations Plan is a broad plan that establishes response protocol and a chain of command for emergencies that threaten the health and safety of the campus community or that disrupt its programs and activities. It covers emergencies ranging from natural disasters to terrorist attacks. The plan conforms to state and federal regulations and is reviewed and updated as situations, threats, and resources change.
The Department of Emergency Management also develops and maintains emergency operations plans for the University of Minnesota coordinate campuses in Crookston, Duluth, Morris and Rochester.
