University Relations
University Relations personnel works with individual departments or units to develop communications responses and tools. University Relations also provides crisis communications training for faculty and staff who may have communications responsibilities during a crisis. Call University Relations at 612-624-6868 for more information.

Inclement Weather
The decision to close the University in the event of inclement weather is made by the executive vice president and provost. University Relations communicates the decision by calling all senior administrators and deans and through the media. Each college and department is advised to establish its own process for contacting its employees in the event of a weather-related closing.
