Dear University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus student,
As we approach the final weeks of fall semester, the pressure to attend class, even if you are feeling ill, can be great. We are writing today to remind you to stay home if you are ill with flu-like symptoms.
If you have influenza-like symptoms (ILI):
Notify your instructor by e-mail that you are ill and ask how to make up missed classes, tests, and assignments.
Do not come to class until you have been fever-free without using fever-reducing medication for 24 hours.
Remember that no doctor's note is currently required if you miss classes due to being sick with ILI and H1N1 flu.
While you're recovering, here are ways to keep up with your courses:
Watch for e-mail updates, updates on the course Moodle or WebVista site, and other communications from your instructor.
Make arrangements with your instructor or other classmates to find out what was covered during missed classes.
