Crime Prevention

Crime prevention is the anticipation, recognition, and appraisal of a crime risk and the initiation of action to remove or reduce it. Ensuring the safety of University community is a group effort-we all must do our part. When working, visiting, or attending classes on campus, students, faculty and staff are responsible for their safety. BASIC CAMPUS SAFETY TIPS

Report any suspicious persons or activities to the University police department.

Do not prop open entrances to buildings.

Lock your work and living areas every time you leave.

Report all maintenance problems to Facilities Management.

Use the escort service rather than walk alone at night.

Be mindful of your surroundings.

Report lost access cards immediately.
